Shared Squarespace domain access

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hi all.  I'm a former Google Domains customer who is now seeing my domains migrate to Squarespace.  I would like to share this account level access with others to help migrate these domains OUT of Squarespace.  As of now, I can only provide access one at a time, domain by domain.

Is there a way to give full account level access for domains in Squarespace?

Thank you in advance for any advice.

As of my last update, Squarespace does not offer full account-level access for domains. Access to domains within Squarespace is typically managed at the website level, with individual permissions granted to each site within an account.

However, you can grant different levels of access to contributors for each website within your Squarespace account. These access levels include:

Administrator: Administrators have full control over a website, including editing content, managing settings, and accessing billing information.

Content Editor: Content editors can create and edit content on a website, but they do not have access to settings or billing information.

Billing: Users with billing access can manage billing details and subscriptions for a website but do not have access to site editing features.

Reporting Only: This access level allows users to view analytics and reporting data for a website without the ability to edit content or settings.

If you need to grant full account-level access for domains, you may need to explore alternative solutions or contact Squarespace support for assistance. They may have additional options or workarounds available depending on your specific needs.

Hi @mkobus, thanks for posting here.

The information shared above is specific to website permissions, which is helpful for third-party domains that are linked to Squarespace using Nameserver Connect.

You can invite contributors to help manage your Squarespace domains, as well. However, you will need to invite a contributor to each domain separately, as you suggested. See our guide for more detailed information:
