Changing video display dimensions with code

I'm trying to upload a vertical video ( 1080 x 1920 px) to my website, but the dimensions of the video display are in landscape mode, which make the video appear smaller. I've tried to change the display size with CSS code to make the video larger, but it usually only works for a while before breaking. 

Here is the code I'm using:

}

You mean increase width of this video?
