How do I link profile photos in people blocks?

Hi, I used the people section to create a list of speakers on an about page. I think I'm doing something wrong because I want to add a link to the photo of each people content item so people can click through to their bio. Surely something this simple is a basic feature in Squarespace but I can't work out how to do it. Please help!

Yes, that's how I created the people section. It's an auto-layout that allows you to upload photos of each person but once you have this list, you can't actually click on the photo to open another page. 

Seems like a ridiculously basic function that you list people and you click on the people to go to their bio but auto-layouts don't allow you to click on the photo but only a button and you need custom css to hide that button. It shouldn't need to be that hard.
