Can I use the newsletter block or a form to send an API call to my server with the email entered by the user?

I would like to have a newsletter block included on my Squarespace page, and call an API call with the entered information when the users taps the submit button.

For example, I would like to show a text field for email address and a submit button like this:

When the user taps the button, Squarespace allows me to either save this info on a Google sheet, or in a mailchimp account, or to use Zapier to process the info.

I would like to call a simple API call to my server to register the email address that the user entered.  

Is this possible?  If not with a newsletter block, can I do this with a form?  Or is Zapier the only way to do this kind of integration using data the user has entered?

Hi You can't do it with saquaresapce's own newsletter form directly  but you can use any third party service or your custom form with API call's implemented. Or as you mentioned Zapier can be your best friend to achieve it.
