I would like to embed videos to my site (NOT from youtube, vimeo, etc)

Hello,

Currently my site is hosted and working through squarespace, but i have some externally hosted videos that i need to embed, i know i am getting the HTML code correct, the video box shows up when i inject it, but the video it self never loads.

What am i doing wrong, or is it simply that Squarespace does not allow videos other than from youtube or vimeo, etc., to be loaded to the site? We do not want to use Youtube as the video host, we have them on an already paid for host so we'd like to use that, we also need to keep the video URLs hiden so that the content cannot be downloaded or copied.

I have attached a screenshot of the video placeholder loaded, but the video never loads, as well as the code im using.

Please help. Thanks.

I am not having any issue with my code block embedding a video from another website besides youtube/vimeo) but wanted to know if there was a way to have my embeded block to be able to go under/behind the navigation, like you can do if you use video as a background for the first section of the website. Attached is an image of what I am trying to do.

Here is my website:

Basically asking if there is a way to custom embed to the background of a section instead of video black.

You can use this to Website Tools > Custom CSS

section[data-section-id="66c659f2253e5d67dd4e08b5"] {
    padding-top: 0px !important;
}
