Would appreciate some help with troubleshooting a bug on this Squarespace website: https://www.openplans.org/

The images in the summary block (under "The Latest" -- blog section) do not load until the page is refreshed. The images were working fine before but stopped working fine sometime in December 2023. Tried removing all custom CSS and code injected and moving them in one by one to see what's causing this and haven't had any luck with figuring out what's up.

I tried contacting Squarespace support and they told me that it looks fine on their end and recommended clearing up browser cache and a few other steps. Did all of these but it still hasn't been fixed. They said it might be an isolated browser issue but the bug also appears on my colleagues' computers/browsers. This also happens both in desktop and mobile and even in an incognito browser session.

Any ideas?

I just saw that on my first visit those images were not loaded but worked after refresh, just like you described.
Have you tried to remove the block and add it from scratch?

In the developer console, the source of the image is not being added

Thanks for the response and for looking into it @sorca_marian. I tried that, as well rebuilding the whole section and duplicating the page, and unfortunately, it's still happening.

If anyone else has any other ideas, I'm all ears!

Have you tried to save the images in another format?(png,svg
