Remove blog post element

Want to remove the author name title at the bottom of my blog posts. I successfully removed the tags so I tried using the same code with the these different IDs in the custom css and neither has worked:

• .author-name { display:none; }
• .blog-meta-item.blog-meta-item–author.p-author.author { display: none; }

Any suggestions?
