kemarshall
I've been selling registrations to a conference on my Squarespace page. At the moment, when I look at my Stripe transactions, the "Description" field is just "Charge for customername@customerdomain.com". But other services I have hooked up to my Stripe account will give descriptions such as "Charge for item1". Is there any way to pass product information to Stripe from Squarespace? My accountant is pitching a bit of a fit about this because she says she can't reconcile the accounts with this little information. Link to comment

Although it isn't possible to change the text recorded by Squarespace in Stripe, you can import sales directly from Squarespace, avoiding the need to pull them from Stripe. You can import historical transactions from the Squarespace Orders panel. You can automatically import new sales transactions using the Quickbooks extension for Squarespace. When you connect this to your Squarespace site, each sale will automatically be added to Quickbooks (either as a sales invoice or sales receipt) in real time. Did this help? kbw
This is the largest problem with using Squarespace and Stripe! Trying to get this information into our QuickBook without a product/item is insane. I can automate the whole process but it doesn't do me any good it I can't get the Product/Item to come through. While we can get sales records off Squarespace it is too time consuming to reformat their CSV file to upload to QB. This is so BAD. Link to comment

morganv90
Adding that I would like this feature added as well. The Quickbooks Extension that is mentioned as a solution does not work well because it cannot automatically import service-based products into quickbooks from squarespace. It also does not handle payment processor fees well. I use the Acodei connector instead, but need product information added to the "Description" field in Stripe in order to do product mapping in Quickbooks. When customers place orders through Acuity Scheduling and pay with Stripe, the product name as well as the customer name is added to the Description field in Stripe. This works very well and is what is needed for Squarespace products as well. Link to comment
