berger2024
Hello all I am not techy, but over January I was able to build what I feel is a beautiful, authentic user friendly site. We did so as our products change continually and we wanted to be able to manage updates as needed. I'm down to the very last step and I've talked to SS Tech, Square Tech and 4 web developers......all state there is no simple way to check out online sales via Square. Before I throw in the towel and start all over on another platform, I thought I'd check here. Some of our products do contain CBD isloate, and we are part of Square's CBD program. I have scrubbed the net and cannot find a simple way to connect the 2 without going round via Ecwid or similar....which I tried but our brand is very aesthetic and the embeded store didnt flow. In the perfect world, we keep everything including store, in SS and do a checkout powered by Square. If its not possible....I just need to know for sure, before I scrap all my work and rebuild on a new platform. Side note....Im shocked they only offer PP and STRP and neither work with our goods.....hard learning lesson. Onward! TY Edited March 1 by berger2024 Link to comment

You cannot, under any circumstances, use Square for online purchases through the Squarespace checkout. You can only use buy buttons from Ecwid or similar to bypass the checkout. Did this help? berger2024
Interesting, the backend tech said it can be done but they will not do it for us. Web engineer has to do it. Maybe they were referring to the buy buttons. If that's the case, I see buy buttons can be created on square. I'd like to keep our SS formatting for our store. So essentially its having a store in Square and we would be updating inventory there? I did see someone mention there is a way to embed Square store widget into SS and the whole store carries over vs one by one....do you know anything about it? Maybe I'll try playing around with it a little more....otherwise I need to call defeat and move onto another platform. Link to comment
