One-Sided Full Bleed? (Slideshow Gallery)

Hello!

Is it possible to create a one-sided full-bleed slideshow gallery? I want the slideshow to bleed on the right, but not on the left (at least, not on the left until the user begins to scroll through the images)

Basically, I'm looking to replicate the Netflix homepage pictured below (attached). Is this possible using CSS?
