Adding a MySQL database

Hey all,

I'm a senior in university using Squarespace to create a dating app by applying it as a webpage. I'm primarily the backend engineer for this team and I'm having trouble seeing if I can implement a data pipeline to my MySQL database. Resources have been telling me that I cannot add connections to a database, but those posts are outdated. What are my current options? Is there anyone willing to help out 1-on-1 to get a hang of SquareSpace?
