Help!

I'm brand new to Square Space and feel so lost. I've been with WIX for years and am NOT tech savvy, but managed to wing my way around to create s couple of WIX sites for myself and friends.

I started playing around with Square Space to see if I could get my head around it under the free trial. I began creating my trial SS site. I did ok, and decided to sign up. Then began my stress!

I think I managed to transfer my domain to SS, at least I was charged £16 for it, so I think it's done. But now I can't figure out how to attach my domain to my trial site so that it becomes my actual site.

I requested from wix to let go of my email address, and they said something about a google account. So now, I'm not sure, do I need to subscribe to Google to get my email address and my domain attached to the trial site?

I'm so confused.

Thank you for any guidance you can give me, because the help pages are way too technical for me to understand and I'm so worried I'm going to mess it all up.

On your website go to Settings -> Domains and click on "Connect a Domain I Own". Follow the instructions.

This is tricky to answer without knowing how you had everything set up, but typically if you want a professional email via Squarespace then you need a Google Workspace account which you can purchase via Squarespace. Do you currently have Google Workspace purchased on WIX?

Hi Ziggy!

Thank you so much for responding, I'm drowning over here!

I managed to attach my domain to the website I'm trying to create. I have no idea how I did it, but I think I did it! 🤩

As for the email address, I purchased my email from Wix, I didn't set up a google workspace myself, it went through Wix. I think that's why I'm so confused. Should I sign up to google workspace, or go through SquareSpace?

Thank you,

Ang

You should be able to access your google workspace account here:

https://admin.google.com/

and then change your billing to directly to Google.
