Videos in v7.1 filling entire width of the screen and becoming larger than height of screen - Can I use CSS to make videos smaller?

Recommended Posts

In v7.1 video pages, there's the landing page, and then individual sub-pages for each video.

On those sub-pages, the system is set up so the video is always 100% the width of the browser window. It's doesn't respond to changes in Styles––>Site Spacing-->Site margin, and there's nothing in the control that changes it.

1. That looks pretty bad aesthetically, and is also just bizarre because everything else seems to obey Site Margin limits. It's crazy you can't tell it to have a border or a max video size or something.

2. Because the video is 100% width, it's often going to make it so they can't see that there's description text below the video (which can only be placed below the video in this system)

3. And if the viewer has the site open in a large-enough browser window, you can very easily end up with a video that is so large that the bottom 1/4 or 1/3 of the screen is cut off at the bottom.

There's got to be a way to solve this with custom CSS or something, but all of that is way beyond my knowledge.

Does anyone on here know what to do?

Please help. Thanks!
