Anchor points on page assigned to nav bar links

Is there a way to assign anchor points to nav bar links so that when you click on them they jump you directly to a section of the current page - without re-loading the page?

Follow this exactly for single page links - if you have more than one page of your site though and want to use anchor links in the nav bar, you'll also need to include the page URL slug, so instead of #anchor you'd use /home/#anchor for example
