How to make logo and navigation transparent / overlay carousel banner.

Recommended Posts

I'm using version 7.1 and I've added a carousel gallery section to my home page, I want this to also go onto the background of my navigation bar at the top of the screen. I can do it with a single image but haven't been able to figure out how to do it with a carousel?

I've attached an image to show the navigation is currently just a white block at the top but I would like the block just below to merge into the navigation so the white block is gone and the navigation sits on top of the carousel.

Thanks

It's www.bethsquire.com password to size is BS, it's the home page, you can see the slideshow of images and the navigation white block above it. Thanks!

You can use this code to Website > Website Tools > Custom CSS

body.homepage article section:first-child {
    padding-top: 0px !important;
}

Thank you, that's worked! Do you also know how to change the colour of the navigation text but only on certain pages. I want it black on some and white on others when the background allows for it!

If you use Business Plan/higher, you can add code to Page Header Code Injection

If you use Personal Plan, you can edit page > Add a Code Block

<style>
  div.header-nav-item a {
    color: #fff !important;
}
</style>

Do you need to change burger icon color?

Is it possible to also change the logo colour (in top left of pages) to black on some and white on other pages? It's a png image, I have both white and black versions.

You can change black version file, I will give you code

Or we can use CSS code to turn white image to black image

Amazing, thank so so much.

Is there a way to alter which images show up first in an image slideshow. For example the first photo that comes up everytime someone goes onto my website is a shot of a road. Is there a way to make it so it's a random order everytime the page is refreshed?

Sorry for all the questions!

This will require JavaScript code. If you use a Business Plan or higher, let me know, I will write a quick guide on forum for you.

Yes it is! I would like to have it closer to the bottom of the images so its not directly under the header but yes!

Here I used Gallery Block Slideshow with custom plugin. If you have a budget, I will write a quick guide to achieve this.
