7.1 - Replace An Image While Keeping The Existing Metadata?

Does anyone know of a way to remove an image from an image block and replace (with an optimised version) without losing the existing alt-text, filename and image title? At the moment if I select Replace, Squarespace auto removes all the custom metadata I added to the original image.

You can share link to page where you use image + send new image file, we can give code, then you can repeat similar for other images
