SVG logo in footer - is it possible?

Hi, I'd like to feature a logo as an SVG in the footer of a site. I've managed to add an SVG to the header using some code, so I assume its possible to do in the footer as well. Only I cannot find any info about this on the interwebs. 

Any help would be much appreciated.
