Flip Card effect without poster layout

We would like to add a flip card effect to our site (see box with red cross in attachment).

The (old) method with poster design and CSS code does not work, because we want the box/card on the right side and not in the center. How can we use the fluid engine or a custom CSS code to make the boxes flip (with mouse hover)? In the front view there should be the image with a headline and on the back the current text.

Any suggestions or ideas?
