Why does it create a new order number for every product purchase?

Hi,

Let's say a customer purchases a soap, a shower gel and a cream in one order, it is creating three orders for this eg 101, 102, 103 and listing them all separately in my dashboard and emailing me 3 times. I can't see anything that would change this, is this the way it always does things? I would expect that to be in one order unless they were purchased as separate transactions.

Can anyone advise me please?

Orders should only be split if you've configured different shipping options for the individual products, requiring them to be send by different shipping methods.

I tested it with a few products and was only offered pickup for each item. I can't check what happens next without placing an order so I recommend you contact Squarespace Customer Support with details of the orders and ask them to take a look.

One other thing that I spotted is that you use a Custom Checkout Form to ask users to confirm they understand the pickup process. However, the checkbox is not "required" so users can continue without checking the box. I thought you'd want to know 🙂
