Why are some sections not centered on tablet?

Hi, I just finalized this website for a client and noticed that a few sections are not responsive in tablet view - and I can't see why that's the case.

It's the second section on Homepage, and the third section on the About page (screenshots attached). In the tablet view, those sections are not scaled and are cut off instead.

Thank you for any advice.

Hi @medleythink the horizontal scroll bar in your first screenshot suggests that something is too big and is preventing the page from scaling down to the said screen size.

Are there any code blocks? Or any custom code that is setting the size of something?

Okay so at the end I figured it out. The 7.1 builder seems to have a bug. When you set the section horizontal gap above 35, the section stops being responsive on tablet view.

The support I was talking to did not understand what I am saying so if there's any SquareSpace developer here please fix this 🙂 Below are screenshots of mobile view when Gap is 40 vs when gap is 30.

Rather than a bug, I think this is because you've effectively forced the minimum width to be bigger than the available width space for smaller devices? Not sure though, I've never set a column gap to be bigger than the default 11. 🙃

Squarespace do not monitor this forum, this is a peer-to-peer forum, for Squarespace customers to support each other. Squarespace support is the official channel to report issues and get help with the platform. Nothing we can do here!
