Capybara Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Hi all, I recently switched to squarespace with my domain only (so no website). I transferred from CloudFlare. But the DNS records that I configured in squaresapce arent updating fully. I still see old dns and especially old MX records and an old SPF entry. They are causing us issues so I would like to remove them but the aren't visible in the interface. If I try to add the spf record it give me an error that it already exists ? Maybe anyone can give me a clue, I'm quite lost. Its been way more then 72 hours.
Capybara Posted January 29 Author Posted January 29 After a bit more research I don't think it are old records. If I do a dns lookup it comes from the squarespace nameservers. So currently I think that there are records in the the sqaurespace dns that I cant see or remove. The reason for this conclusion is that after a txt lookup I can see two spf records. If I try to add the one that is not listed in the sqaurespace dns settings I get a prompt saying I cant add it. Has anyone encountered something like this before? Cheers!
Capybara Posted January 31 Author Posted January 31 It has been resolved with the help of the live chat support, big thanks to them. What was happening: A custom spf record in the dns conflicted with a automatic created spf record when you use Email Forwarding. The extra records where correct after all and did not originate from another domain. Hope it helps some else who might be confused!
