rotanzdesign Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Is there a way to have the "Sign up for news and updates" box automatically checked on a form that requires someone's email? Obviously they'll have the option to uncheck it, but my client would like to have this already checked when they get to the page. The page is currently password protected while we build it out, but you can use the password: editmode Thanks!!

No. The Email Signup option will be unchecked by default. This is a legal requirement in many countries because you cannot show consent if the box is pre-checked. A person has to take a specific positive step, such as choosing to check the box, to say they want to sign-up. To ensure you receive the most sign-ups, I recommend that you enable the Google reCAPTCHA option. If you don't, users will need to manually respond to the confirmation email that is sent afterwards. If they don't, and around 40% of users don't, they won't be added to your marketing. Did this help? Iwan Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Hi Paul! Happy 2024. I have a similar problem for a site I built a client. In the three sections where a person is able to sign up for email subscritption, a code was directly inserted into the section (we did not use SQSP forms or newletters) - also for existing clients to book sessions with my client, we used a code link using Keap. In the face of this, how do I insert Recaptcha?? https://jeanine-thompson.squarespace.com/config/pages https://jeanine-thompson.squarespace.com/book-release https://jeanine-thompson.squarespace.com/config/pages THANK YOU
