Connecting inventory from SquareSpace to WordPress websites

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

Reaching out for help from the SquareSpace smarties (I'm brand new to both SquareSpace and coding 🙂) - I've been asked by a friend to help build a functionality on their business website and I'm not exactly sure where to even start. There are 2 websites I'm trying to connect - one made with SquareSpace and one made with WordPress. Basically, there is a list of inventory on the SquareSpace website that we want to connect and list on the WordPress website, and whenever something changes on the SquareSpace inventory list (item has been removed, purchased, added) it will automatically update on the WordPress website. I recently looked into using LitCommerce but I'm not sure if that will do what I need it to do. If you have any suggestions, please advise!

I don't fully understand your request or why there are two websites with the same inventory.

Can you provide us with a few more details to help us understand? If you can include links to both websites, this may give us more context.

@paul2009 Yes, sorry for not being clear!

The SquareSpace website has inventory for its product (coin collections), and the WordPress website wants an option to display the SquareSpace inventory so that people who are on the WordPress website that want to buy coin collections can see what the current inventory is and be redirected over to the SquareSpace website for checking out.

SquareSpace website: https://raregoldcoins.com/rare-gold-coin-inventory

WordPress website: https://www.coinfully.com/

The WordPress website gets a lot of traffic from rare coin collectors, and so the WordPress business owner has partnered up with the SquareSpace business owner to display rare coin collections listed for purchase on their website (the WordPress website), but the inventory is added/updated from the SquareSpace website.

Goal: to show inventory added/updated from the SquareSpace website on the WordPress website. Ideally, would have it automatically update, and when an item is clicked on the WordPress website, it would redirect the buyer to the SquareSpace website for purchase/checkout.

I hope this makes more sense!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new to using SquareSpace (and WordPress) and have googled this question extensively before finally concluding that I need to come ask for help from some professionals 🙂

I’m currently needing advice on how to link the inventory from a SquareSpace website to show up on a WordPress website. The SquareSpace website has inventory but low traffic to the website, and the WordPress website has no inventory but high traffic. These are 2 rare coin businesses that are trying to work together via promoting the inventory from the SquareSpace website on the WordPress website. It would be ideal to have them synced up so anytime someone purchases inventory from the SquareSpace website, it would update the inventory on the WordPress website.

Any help or advice would be EXTREMELY appreciated, thank you all! 🙂
