Help with a specific portfolio page build...

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to make a portfolio page like the example one I attached. Where at the top of the page would be the categories of portfolios and when clicked on all the images would load below as opposed to a new page. Does anyone know how this can be achieved either within the templates or minimal code?

The site is built on WordPress but is blocked from certain countries, which is why some users cannot see it. For reference, here's a screenshot:

You can do something similar on Squarespace by filtering content using tags or categories. A number of collection pages have this capability, including Store pages and Blog pages.

The Avenue template (on the older Squarespace 7.0) has a feature where clicking on a portfolio image, loads the detail of that project above the portfolio tiles, providing an easy step back to the portfolio:

If you'd like to use one of the newer Squarespace 7.1 templates, there's a third party plugin that can provide interactive filtering. It is called Universal Filter. (This is an affiliate link for a product I heartily recommend. If you make a purchase I may receive a tiny commission. All opinions remain my own.)
