BillyG
Hi. New to the forum and my first inquiry...so apologies if this isn't done quite right. I'm a copywriter and video director and I just started building a portfolio site on Squarespace. I struggling a bit trying to figure out how to show my work. Much of my copy and editorial work runs longer than a single web page. And I want to show a "Work" page that features multiple examples of work. I could link out work that's still on the public web. Or, perhaps there's a way to show an thumbnail image, that when you click on it, opens to a full (or close to full frame window) that shows the content in its entirety. For example, here's a case study I wrote that I'd like to show. https://cloud.google.com/customers/state-of-illinois Is there a way to show some text and image from the case study, that opens to show the full story? Can I save the HTML file as a PDF? I did a search and it appears there are ways to do that, but I haven't figured out how to actually do it. Any insight or ideas is appreciated. Thx Link to comment
justin.mabee
@BillyG I would probably use a blog roll for case studies and just add an intro and a paragraph or two on the page itself, and then link out to see the full case study for additional info. No need to save the HTML file as a PDF, that could likely make it look bad in the export. You can use the excerpt to link out. Check out this example of a site I created for a professor at Princeton who does a lot of legal writing -- https://www.martinflaherty.org/ BillyG 1 Link to comment
