Appointments being booked within the proper window, but booked overnight and my client doesn't know about it

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have a client who is a massage therapist. She uses Acuity for her appointments and has her settings so no one can book within 4 hours of an appointment.

She's had a couple of people book an appointment in the middle of the night for an early morning appointment. Since it was booked overnight, she wasn't aware of the appointment and it screws up her day.

Is there a way to stop people from booking an appointment overnight for a morning appointment? I think she's going to need to change her settings so people can't book within 8 hours of an appointment, but I was wondering if there's a different solution. Thanks!

As you suggested, the solution is to use the Minimum hours setting to determine how close to the appointment time clients can book. There isn't a separate 'overnight' setting 🙂.

Note that, if clients are allowed to reschedule appointments, there's another setting that affects the minimum time for rescheduling. It is called Minimum time to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
