Switching from Squarespace's random domain to your custom domain

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hello Squarespace Community,

I've successfully transferred my actual company domain to Squarespace, and it's now listed as "domain managed by a third party" with the status "connected."

However, the site I'm constructing still displays the random Squarespace URL as the built-in domain. How can I activate my connected domain to replace the random URL? Any guidance on making this switch would be greatly appreciated! EHallPass

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

The built-in Squarespace domain is for the backend, you can't remove it, but since you have a custom domain attached to the website that will act as your primary domain. What currently happens when you view your website on your custom domain in a new tab/window?
