Is it possible to use images for navigation and another for hover?

Hi there. I've been trying to create a navigation using images. And if I can get even more advanced, id love to trigger another image on the hover.

This is what it currently looks like with the squarespace 7.1 header tools 

And this is what i'd like it to look like and you can see when you roll over, there would be a scribble over the nav. 

I tried to buy a ghost plugin and i've been searching for ways to do it, online but im terrible at actual coding, so I can't figure it out.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
