Replace ADD TO CART button with ENQUIRE form on select products

Recommended Posts

I am mid-way through my website build-out using a 7.1 template.  I have added all my products, but used code to currently allow them to only appear as gallery thumbnails and not process sales as I continue to gather all my content and fully "go live".

My goal is to open up online sales for the majority of products, however, there are some pieces that logistically require discussion during the sales process and simply can not be sold on the spot.

Is there a way to remove the "ADD TO CART" button from select products and instead replace it with an "SALES INQUIRY" button, which would essentially open up an email to me to initiate a sale discussion?

There isn't a native way to do this, although you could use Custom CSS to hide the purchasing button on individual products and add a form block to the additional information section of some products. That said, it can be a lot of administration as forms cannot be duplicated.

If you're looking for a pre-built, paid solution that doesn't have these issues, please take a look the Product Enquiry Form plugin.
