Correct total price on variant pricing options does not show on product full page section design, only product half page section design

I am having a problem with variant pricing and what the total shows. More specifically it works fine with a half page product section page design; when you select all required variants it shows the correct total price. 

However when I switch to the product page design section to full page it does not show a total price when all the required variants are selected. It still shows the "from" pricing which is the lowest pricing possible with the cheapest variants. 

Is this a bug or is the a option I missed elsewhere?

I can reproduce this bug on Squarespace 7.1 sites using the "Full" Product Detail Page layout and have reported it to Squarespace. The price updates correctly on other PDP layouts like "Simple".

Squarespace doesn’t use this forum to track bug reports so please report this issue by raising a ticket through Squarespace Customer Support.
