EkoArgento
Hello I am currently building an online store on Squarespace. The incoming customer orders have to be sent to our warehouse manager so that he can pack and ship the goods. How do I get his e-mail address added to the order process? Thank you very much. Best. How do I get his e-mail address added to the order process? To receive commerce email notifications, the person will need a contributor account on the website. To create a new contributor account go to Settings > Permissions. Create an account with at least Store Manager permissions, using their email address. They'll need to accept the contributor invitation, to enable their account. Did this help? EkoArgento
Hello Paul Thanks for your message. I was aware that these permission exist. I just didn't want to give our distributor an authorization that would also allow him to customize the website. This is the case with the store administrator authorization. I just wanted him to receive an email with the order receipt like I do as the owner... Best. Link to comment
EkoArgento
The contributor account on the website has access to edit the site... I find it a bit irresponsible if the "external" warehouse partner could edit the page.... Link to comment

However, for the time being, this is the only mechanism provided within Squarespace. Workarounds may include: Using your email service to autoforward matching emails from your own inbox to the external partner (simple) Setting up a Store Manager account using a new email address (that you control) and then auto-forward the order emails from that inbox to the external partner Using the Orders API and a third party RPA service to send an email to the external partner whenever a new order is placed (more complex and relies on another third party service) Did this help? simon_kyle
Hi, I am a start-up and trying to get my head around this - I have a Squarespace website that needs to fulfill orders two different ways; one I do myself - and the other is over to another company that also has Squarespace - I understand that I can make a contributor/store manager. They can then get emailed, But they will see all orders that get placed. - can I segment so they just see the product/fulfillment orders that they need to do. Thanks, si Link to comment
