How do I remove this old code?

I have some instances where I changed the name of a page and now both the new URL and the old URL are showing in the code. How do I get rid of the old code that is causing a 404 error? See the screenshot. The broken link is /blog/e-coaching-choose-career

(Additional info: Support said the old code would disappear eventually, and that I don't need to worry because Google can't see it, but I just looked on Google Search Console and Google DOES see it as broken.)

@Janet-CA It looks like you've got two links in your text block so you can remove the incorrect one - I can't see that this is coded on your home page. Where did you take this screenshot?

If it's just a text block you've added links to, you'll just need to remove the link from the full stop / period at the end of the sentence.

(if you respond to this one, make sure you tag me using @ so I see you response)

@CassAggett the screenshot is from the source code that I found by using View > Developer > View Source in Chrome. I can't figure out where the text block is that you referenced. Can you please tell me more detail as I would LOVE to get rid of this? Broken link checkers are still showing the links that shouldn't be there.

What page of your website is this link on (i.e. where you inspected the source code)? Can you share a link?

From what it looks like in the screenshot, wherever this text is on your site, the old link is still attached to the period at the end of the sentence. So if you can find that, you should be able to highlight the period then remove the link from that, leaving the link still attached to the words - hopefully that makes sense!

Oh, my goodness, @CassAggett I had no idea the link was attached to those periods! That was the key to fixing this. I found and deleted the links. Thank you SO MUCH!
