Previewed my site in 7.1 and it looks really wonky.

I noticed there's now an option under Design to upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1, with a preview before hitting publish. However, when I tried it, I got a popup message saying it didn't work.

Is the new feature buggy, or could it be something to do with my website? Thanks in advance!

I tried the new preview tool for 7.1 and my site looks really different, almost as if I would need to rebuild it anyway. Biggest difference was the fonts and font sizing, and my image blocks. 

Is this feature still buggy? Should I wait until Squarespace figures it out before I publish my site in 7.1? Curious to hear others' experiences. Thanks!

Are you currently on 7.0, previewing an upgrade to 7.1?

I wouldn't expect this feature to give you a perfect transition to Squarespace 7.1 as the design tools on 7.1 are quite different, but it should give you a big step up compared to the previous method of "upgrading" which involved building a new website from scratch.

If this is something that you want to do, then I would suggest putting aside some time to go over all of the pages and adjust the design and layout.
