"Account/Login" link on mobile menu bar going to the wrong URL and page

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've run into an issue with the Squarespace "Account" link taking users to the wrong page on mobile. On desktop, the user clicks "Login" or "Account" on the site header and the pop-up to enter email and password appears as it should. On mobile, the user taps "Login" or "Account" on the mobile hamburger menu and they are directed to https://www.thelotusinstitute.org/about-us.

Squarespace staff mentioned this is likely due to custom code or code injections. But when I open the HTML on either of those pages, I don't see anything connected to this. Beyond my skill level, but hoping it's something easier to solve now instead of hiring a developer to investigate.

Please help! Video of the error attached.

I would suggest contacting Squarespace support, as this seems like a bug:

Thanks Ziggy. I will contact Squarespace again with your advice and info. When I first contacted them they said...

After doing some testing on my end, I found that the issue was resolved when I disabled scripts on the preview version of your site. You can learn how to disable scripts on your end here:

https://support.squarespace.com/hc/articles/205815908#toc-disable-scripts-in-preview

Because the issue was resolved by disabling scripts, the problem is likely caused by custom code you’ve added to your site. Troubleshooting code falls outside our scope of support, so we can’t pinpoint the exact code responsible for the issue. I’d recommend reviewing any custom scripts you’ve added to code blocks or code injection and try removing them one at a time to determine which one is causing an issue.

You may have to remove the custom coding you have and if the problem persists then contact Squarespace Support (keep the code backed up somewhere).

What do you have in code injection/Custom CSS?
