Constructive Criticism Please

Hello,

I'd like some eyes on my website to give me any and all feedback that may help. I have ideas to keep adjusting (maybe more animated gif intros, etc.) but figure now is a good time to put it out there. Thank you in advance.

Site looks nice and clean, the text is spaced nicely. Everything functions very well in terms of navigating. 

My only critique would be of the image at the top of https://www.mostlyprint.com/contact

The image quality is pixelated and blurry compared to the rest, and I feel it should be stronger or more compelling for a contact page. It has a dark and spooky vibe that doesn't seem to speak to your overall branding.

The white space above and below the text on that page also seems like it could be reduced without taking away from the content.

Good luck building out the rest of the site!

Awesome feedback. I agree with the contact image being off brand. I'm going to find another solution to this that fits better with me as a designer.

The spacing was pretty off too. I tightened it up to be less airy.

Nice work...your designs look nice!

Instead of the home page starting off with the portfolio, I would put an image/text above it explaining who you are and what you do. Who's your customer? Currently, site visitors only have your name/logo to figure out what you do...which could mean you print photos from instagram, or you print tshirts, or you print handouts. By adding just a few words at the top, it will clarify to your audience a lot more quickly/easily...then display all of your work underneath.

I would also add an About page (or section) to add a personal touch that people can connect with. Explain who you are, why you started the business, what problems you solve for your customer, etc.

Since your Linkedin link is in the footer, I would add it to the top navigation too.

The logos/marks square on the home page moves too quickly to really digest the images. Is it supposed to be that light too?

The individual portfolio pages look really nice...you've displayed your work really nice so people can see the scope of your work.  

On the Contact page, there should be some space between the paragraph and the row under it (email/phone/button). It needs some space to breathe. I would also add a hyperlink to your email address on that page.

I just clicked over to your Instagram page and see that there's a different logo there... I would make them consistent for brand recognition.

Overall, the design is nice, I would just build it out a bit more, add more call to action buttons, consider adding pricing, and an About section. Let me know if you have questions 🙂

Thank you so much for all of this insight @JessicaM. There is so much good in here that i will be making adjustments in the next few days. 

I've been wanting to add and about me just to let people see the person behind the work, writing about myself is so hard but i'll get it done :). 

I totally agree with you on the homepage having more information rather than just jumping right into the work. I'll be adding a section above the work to introduce the work i do to make it easier to understand
