JoshH Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 (edited) Yesterday Squarespace suspended my domain without notifying the domain's contact (me) and is ignoring my ticket seeking more support My site's been down now over 30 hours and I have no idea why. It started when my domain, mlp.chat, stopped resolving. I logged into my Google Domains account where I registered it to see a message that the domain was "no longer serving" with a link to open a support ticket with Google. I did so. Google then directed me to Squarespace. Squarespace directed me to Google. Finally, Google sent me back to Squarespace who finally acknowledged it was their problem and told me they were sending the ticket to their Trust and Safety team. Now, over 24 hours later and no updates. My site's been unreachable for over 30 hours for who knows what reason. Has anyone else here experienced this? Any suggestions on how to get a response from Squarespace? I think my next step is going to be to open a case with ICANN, they helped me out with a similar issue a while ago. This is really not a great first impression. Edited December 16, 2023 by JoshH
JoshH Posted December 17, 2023 Author Posted December 17, 2023 It's now over 60 hours and still no response from Squarespace.
JoshH Posted December 18, 2023 Author Posted December 18, 2023 till no response from Squarespace on this. any advice on how to get replies to support tickets?
antsypantsy Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 From what I can establish, there are no humans working at Squarespace. But in the videos at the end, it always says “We’re here to help” so there must be something… Maybe they’re really busy and you’re still in line?
JoshH Posted December 19, 2023 Author Posted December 19, 2023 I really hope so, my first email got a reply from what appeared to be a real person, but afterwards I've received nothing. Their Twitter account replied to me a couple times but then silence. Really bad customer support and I never even chose to be a customer of Squarespace (was part of the domain migration from Google). This experience has definitely convinced me to end that relationship ASAP and not recommend the company to anyone else. BillB 1
JohnnyTwoTimes Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I am unfortunately having the EXACT same issue right now, and it's impacting mail flow to our domain. I'm going on the bad publicity tour here within the next few hours.
