RachelA Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Hi, I'm quoting a client for a new website (so nothing to show yet). They sell kitchens so won't be selling any actual products online but one of the things they would like is a facility to take deposits or outstanding amounts through their website so that people can pay on a credit card. The amount would therefore be different each time, so the customer would need to be able to add the amount in £'s and a reference number (so the company know who the payment is from) before going to the checkout. Is this possible, and if so, any ideas how I would set it up and which plan I would need please? Thanks, Rachel.

It is possible to use third party payment embeds to take payments but there are a couple of downsides: The payments will not be processed within Squarespace, so won't be available in Squarespace reporting. Customers may type the wrong amount. An alternative method is to create invoices for the amounts due and then send links to the customer that allow them to click a link to pay online, prompting them for the correct amount. With Squarespace Invoicing you can send invoices and payment reminders directly from Squarespace and the payments can be tracked there too. Did this help? RachelA Posted December 19, 2023 Author Posted December 19, 2023 Thank you Paul2009. With the invoicing option, which plan would I need for this?
