SUBSOLAR Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 Just spent a full day building my Home Page how I wanted it, to discover what I've made is buried under an index page - I don't want the index, there's no way to turn it off, and ALL the instructions online are for previous versions and have none of the same buttons or functionality as this editor. It's a frustrating roadblock in getting my website live. The index didn't display on the navigation until I navigated to home and found myself on an almost empty page with 1 pic containing the rest of the website I built. I was finally getting ready to buy and publish but now can't as I can't get my page to the correct place I want it in the navigation, there's no option to move it and I can't drag it out of the index. When I go into the settings it does show as set as my homepage but its still buried under this redundant click-through layer I dont want. I've gone through the page Main Navigation Settings multiple times. I've checked all the settings on both the fake "Home" (index page) and the actual page I want which is under that menu. There's no way to change the location or navigation settings on the indexed page, just move it up and down the list in the indexes but can't boot it back to the main menu. I tried duplicating the page but it doesn't let you choose the location of the new page, it just dumps it in the same index. How can I move the completed indexed page to the main navigation and delete the index section? Or have I wasted my entire day building a page I now need to delete?
derricksrandomviews Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 (edited) in 7.1 If the page you want is a project inside an index which is a portfolio page you can't move it out of the portfolio. If it is a page visible under pages in configuration you can drag it anywhere you want to in the linked or unlinked sections of your site, but you cannot add it to a portfolio page.
