When you upload a font in the Custom CSS panel, it will not appear in Styles -> Fonts, you have to assign it with CSS. https://squarefortytwo.com/squarespace-guides/custom-fonts-on-squarespace-71 It would be great if it worked like you want, but sadly not for now.
