Allowing customers to select point of sale payments on online orders

I have signed up for point of sale with square and integrated it to our online squarespace store.  We are a pick-up only operation based in the US, and one of our pick-up sites will require pre-orders.  What I would like to do is offer customers the option to either pay on the website or pay at the time of pickup using the integrated POS offering with Square.  However, it looks like the customer must pay in order to check out on the website.  Is there a way to give them a "pay at pickup" option on the website store and still checkout online?  Ideally this would also adjust inventory, but if I have to do that manually when an order comes in, so be it.

No, this is not possible. Customers can pay in person but they cannot pre-order. Online orders require payment at checkout.
