MattGS Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Hi All I transferred my domain to Squarespace early last week and the DNS records updated really quickly, within a couple of hours. Once I'd cleared my browser cache, I could get to my new Squarespace website. However... I use Microsoft 365 for my email. I've added the MX, CNAME and TXT records exactly as set out by Microsoft and these haven't been updated in the domain record yet. I've gone through all the domain check tools and the DNS has propagated everywhere but none of the nameservers I query have my MX records. The guidance says to wait for 72 hours (which I've done and it's nearly double that time now), and I contacted support but haven't yet heard back. I currently cannot receive any email and those emails people are sending me are already bouncing rather than being held. Is there any known issue I might have missed out on or any trick to get the DNS record to update? Many thanks in advance Matt

MattGS Posted December 4, 2023 Author Posted December 4, 2023 Thanks Paul - sorry, I'm new here and hoping it's a noddy error 😇 The domain is resilience-insights.co.uk. I've attached a screenshot of my DNS settings and checked that these are identical to the ones outlined my Microsoft Admin console and as well as the website resolving fine the DNS health check in MS is querying the correct squarespace nameservers but is telling me that it's not picking up the custom records.
paul2009 Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Thanks for the details. Although your screenshot shows that the custom records have been added, they have not been applied to the DNS servers, so aren't live. Currently, you only have the A records and I cannot see any propagation pending so waiting is unlikely to resolve it. Sadly, I can't help to resolve this so I recommend you open a chat session with Customer Support to resolve this. Chat opened at 9am UK time.
