Noonan
Hello friends: I have a brand new site: trylifestory.com It's up, it's optimized, it's simple. My question concerns Google Search Console. The site is new but it's been up for over a month now. I can't get the Primary Domain to be indexed. But I have gotten the main URL indexed. (see screenshots). What am I doing wrong that I can get the URL but not the Primary Domain? What am I missing here? The entire site right now only has less than 20 pages. Just looking for some guidance so I get this thing set up properly. Appreciate the help. Best, Mark Link to comment
Solution Ziggy Posted December 1, 2023 Solution Share Posted December 1, 2023 It looks like you are trying to index both www.trylifestory.com and trylifestory.com. I would imagine that you have the www enabled in the domain settings. You can't have both indexed as they are the same page and the domain without the www (trylifestory.com) is redirecting to www.trylifestory.com. Google will not index a redirected URL, it will only index the page that the redirect is going to. You can remove the www in the domain settings on your website, but you will have to be careful not to damage your SEO indexing, and you will be switching the redirect for every page.
