TreyC Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 (edited) So I'm trying to setup Google Analytics for the first time and I'm sure it's just ignorance on my part, but how can I effectively monitor the unique buttons being pressed? The two examples that are getting me stuck: 1) There are many different ways to get to a certain page, and I want to know specifically which button/link was clicked on to get there 2) The developer who helped me with the website added a custom slideshow on the home page. Love it, but I don't know how to monitor the arrows to determine if anyone is actually going through the slideshow. Thanks in advance! In case it helps: https://www.treychastain.com/ Edited November 30, 2023 by TreyC

TayloredData Posted January 12 Posted January 12 @TreyC do you care about the button click as a conversion, or are you just using it to identify which page someone came from? If it's the latter, I would just use the previous page report in GA4 for this as it will tell you that out of the box Data Nerd 🧑🏾💻| I help businesses transform data into actionable insights & sales | Chat with me about your website + marketing analytics challenges: TayloredData.com Grab the Ultimate Guide to Tracking Squarespace Ecommerce Events in Google Analytics 4 Prefer video tutorials?
