Can't create a link directly to specific blog posts

This is driving me insane and I can't figure out what's going on. I'm trying to create a drop-down menu in the nav that links directly to several blog posts. My issue is that when I add a link (like this one, for example: https://www.fisheyeservices.com/water-leaks/recognizing-risks-and-signs-of-water-leaks), and hit Save, the link gets shortened to just https://www.fisheyeservices.com/water-leaks, which doesn't link directly to the blog post I want to share.

This happens whether I add the whole URL or just /water-leaks/recognizing-risks-and-signs-of-water-leaks. Also worth noting that the link still appears full in the Edit Link dialogue box, but it doesn't show up on the actual website in full. When I hover over the dropdown menu items, I can see it's just the shortened link. When I go back to fix it in the backend, it shows me the full link.

What am I doing wrong? Is this a bug? Is this a limitation with Folders? Why wouldn't I be able to link directly to whatever the hell I need to in the nav?
