When using the 'duplicate page' function, sitemaps showing incorrectly

Recommended Posts

Hello!

When using the 'duplicate page' function, squarespace seems to be keeping the original name in the sitemap even after I edit all SEO, Slug and Title data on the duplicated page. Is there a way to duplicate pages and also rename these pages correctly in the sitemap?

Attached a screenshot!

Thank you all in advance.

The sitemap in my experience does not update immediately, live in real-time. If you duplicate and then go through the page settings and update all of the info, it will be reflected in the sitemap in time. I can't tell you exactly how long it would take as I've not tried measuring it, but I have duplicated countless pages and never seen issues in my sitemaps with the default duplication URL slug.
