rangeee
Hi there, Has anybody been able to integrate Job Adder https://jobadder.com/ into Squarespace. They sent me a guide with three options ● JobAdder Javascript Widget ● JobAdder’s XML job feed ● JobAdder API but I wouldn't know if these are actually usable (e.g. is a Javascript widget integration even possible)? I'm not from a coding background, so the xml and api look quite complicated. Thanks! Link to comment
jaeveedee
@rangeee Yes! I implemented this on a client's site before. I you need help send me a DM but it is usually pretty straightforward to install if I remember correctly (it's been a few years since I did it) ☕ Did I help you? rangeee
Great! Did you implement it using the javascript widget or different method? Link to comment
jaeveedee
@rangeee javascript widget. It also renders everything in raw html so you can make things look the way you want with some CSS. https://www.ponyexpresstalent.com/live-jobs ☕ Did I help you? rangeee
Thanks so much, I'm going to get them to send me some more details then have a go at implementing it. I may come back to you for the help to do this, as I'm not used to using javascript. Link to comment
jaeveedee
@rangeee just looked. Basic installation is super simple. Add a code block and drop their code in there. CSS tweaks are obviously going to be different depending on your situation. There's also lots of back end settings to sort of customize the content you see. ☕ Did I help you? rangeee
So the widget you just drop onto the page as a code block, but where do you tweak the CSS? E.g. I want to create a set gao between jobs displayed or I want to change the "apply" button style? Link to comment
jaeveedee
@rangeee CSS tweaks would be like normal under the custom css area in SS. The trickiest part is finding the right selectors, it has been a while but I dont think they are published, I'm pretty sure I just had to inspect the browser to find them. ☕ Did I help you? rangeee
Thanks, you're right. I have some selectors in the sample CSS they provide, but I'm trying to style the insides of the drop-downs in the search box and I can't seem to find them. I think it might just take a bit of persistence with browser inspection, but it's not all totally obvious. Link to comment
jaeveedee
@rangeee can you share the link? ☕ Did I help you? Buy me a coffee! 💻 I'm for hire on Upwork! Link to comment
