PatrikK Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 I'm new to Acuity and have taken over the revising the scheduling. I've blocked all appointments on all calendars until June of 2024. However, somehow people from are still able to sign up for appointments. Is there another way to totally shut off EVERYTHING in Acuity until we are ready? The system was being used in the past and I believe that somehow these clients are able to book appointments. Please help. I thought I might just deleted ALL calendars. We do have everyone on a back up shceulde. Is there a draw back to deleting a calendar with appointments?
ValzHa Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 I'm no expert but Remove link, button, embed from site or change your link name for a time being. How ever people get to your page remove it or change it until it's ready. brittanidesign 1
brittanidesign Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 If they are still able to book appointments you might want to do the following: You can duplicate all appointment types and make sure they are labeled private for now. Then once you're ready for them to be live you can make them public and add the links, embed, etc where you want them to be. For the current appointments, you can turn them into a waiting list of sorts. Not sure how it's set up but in the description let them know that will be added to a waiting list and the date they put in lets you know whatever it is would like to know, "preferred dates/days" or "put on a first come first serve list". Could be a great way to collect information. The other option is wherever these links are live for people to book. Create a form and make it a button to put people on a waiting till booking is available.
brittanidesign Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Hi, @PatrikK I just figured something out for myself because I need to pause bookings for a program I'm running. I canceled all the time slots I had available for this appointment type (see first image). Then on the appointment description, I let businesses know who are applying to email me if a spot opens up, plus it doesn't allow them to book anything (see second image). Maybe this can help.
