Disqus for Member Areas

I have a client using Member Areas who wants a better solution for the SQSP comment system. We've talked about adding Disqus but I'm curious if this will even work in Member Areas since it's behind a paywall.

I am currently having a similar problem. I would like to create a discussion page that is only accessed by members who have purchased certain courses.

I attempted to create a free course page, linked to a members area, with a blog post page. I have already signed up for disqus and linked to the page and allowed commenting. I get the "this page is only available to members" link even though I am logged in with a testing account. 

Any advice on how to set this up would be appreciated.
