desktop view act different than mobile view

when in desktop view, page navigation menu is centered at top of page ( which is what I want). When switched to mobile view it becomes horizontal lines in upper right corner. Click on the lines and only the page navigation appears vertically aligned and no page content.  How do I fix this? I'm new to squarespace and appreciate any help.  Thanks
