jessenianauta
Hello, I noticed that you can add a shape on a page, but adding a shape in the blog is currently unavailable. I was wondering if there is another way of adding a shape on top of an image. Or is this a function that is coming in the future? Thanks Link to comment
paul2009
You can add shapes to page sections that are using the “Fluid Engine” editor. This editor is not available on blog posts (or events, or product additional information) as these still use the “Classic” editor. About: SQSP User for 17 yrs. Circle Leader since 2017. jessenianauta
I see, thanks. Are you aware of any other way of having a high res image available for viewing, but not available for download? Im currently creating an experience with my art for members, and keep running into this. Adding a shape ontop allows the image to show up full res, while disabling the option to download it, keeping the flexibility of the original high res image, while also keeping the image safe, and also adding value to the user experience. I'd love to help, but this is technically impossible. If an image can be viewed, it can also be downloaded. The only way to prevent images being reused is to watermark them, before you upload them to the site. There are techniques you can use to make it appear difficult, such as disabling right clicks, but they aren't effective and can have a negative impact for users with disabilities. jessenianauta
Anything is possible!!!! 🙂 And, I would love to hear a bit more about how does the disabling right-click feature hurt users with disabilities. Appreciate it. Link to comment
